Sherman S. Lee was born in Tainan, Taiwan on January 3, 1956. Drawing and singing were his favorite things, next to his family and friends. 

 

Sherman graduated from The National Art College in Taipei in 1980, and moved to the United States in 1983. Sherman Graduated from City University of New York in 1985 with a Master Degree in Fine Arts. He was most recently employed at barnes&noble.com, as a graphic designer.

 

Sherman married his wife, Yunn-Yi on June 3, 1989, and had his first son, Matthew on May 23, 1990. On April 13, 1993 his daughter Ariel was born. He lived in Edison, NJ since 1994. In June 2002 he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He passed away peacefully on May 4, 2007, in the JFK Hospital Haven/Hospice in Edison, NJ.

Please join Sherman's family and friends on May 4, 2008, the one year anniversary of his passing,, to honor him once again with a music recital. The time and place are to be announced as arrangements are arranged.

The public viewing was on Saturday, May 12 at 9:00 am at Gosselin's Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Rd. Edison, NJ 08820

The Funeral Service took place the same day at 11:00 am, at St. Helena's R.C. Church, 930 Grove Ave Edison, NJ 08820.

Afterwards there was a reception/memorial concert at 1:00 pm at Lakeview School, 10 Oak Drive, Roosevelt Park, Edison NJ 08837. Sherman's artwork will also be displayed.

 

Thank you to all who came in memory of Sherman. Words cannot express our gratitude for all your kindness and love. You have all made this an easier time for us.

 

Sherman will live forever in our memories and hearts.
